Youth Impact 412

Beginning January 2015, we have an official Ecumenical Youth Group, shared between First Christian Church and Hodge Presbyterian.

IMPACT 412, as we call it, will be for both High School and Middle School, with some activities that will be only Middle School or only High School.  In addition to meeting Sundays from 6 – 7:30 p.m., the group will participate monthly in Service Projects on Sunday afternoons and some fun social/fellowship activities.

The youth have come up with some great service projects: we have served Tea at Sunnyview, with plans to do this again this month; we have dates for walking dogs at the Animal Shelter, and serving soup in a soup kitchen, in the city.  If you are aware of a need that our youth can meet, please pass it along to Andrea Merrin 660.654.4893 or andrea.merrin@gmail.com.  As the weather begins to decline, there are elderly that may need walks shoveled or someone to get their groceries – the youth would love to help with this!

The month of January we will be meeting Sunday Nights at FCC, Family Activity Center; then in February we will meet at Hodge, and continue alternating this way throughout the year.

Additionally, some dates to “SAVE” on your calendar are:
– January 25th for Winter Jam (KC Sprint Center)
– Young Christian’s Weekend, Silver Dollar City  – Friday March 27th – Sunday March 29th
